Warranty Promise At Specs For Less

At Specs for Less, we stand behind every product we sell 100%. We guarantee the accuracy and quality of craftsmanship of every eyewear purchase. Below is a summary of our warranty policies.

Scratch Resistant/Anti-Scratch Lenses:

eyeglasses At Specs For Less in South Shore NYIn Store Purchases: All lenses purchased with a scratch resistant coating are warranted for 1 year from the original date of purchase. If within the 1 year lenses become scratched (from normal wear and tear) bring them into the Specs for Less store where you initially purchased them. The lenses will be replaced with the identical material, prescription and any other original add on features. This replacement will be honored one time at no charge. Any scratches after this initial replacement but still within the 1st year will be billed at 50% percent of the original cost. Lenses that are damaged due to misuse will not be replaced and the warranty will be voided.

For online purchase warranty replacements: All online purchase warranty claims require a return authorization. A return authorization can be requested by emailing: onlinesales@specsforless.com, and stating what needs to be replaced. Once a return authorization number is given it must be printed on the outside of the package. Packages must be shipped via a trackable carrier at the customer’s expense. Warranty claims will be invoiced for return shipping and must be paid before they are shipped back to the customer.

Frame Warranty:

In Store Frame Warranty: Covered frames come with a one year warranty included in the purchase price, if the frame breaks due to a manufacturer’s defect within the one year, we will replace the frame at no charge. Cosmetic blemishes are not covered for any reason. We are not responsible for manufacturer backorders. Frames that are damaged due to misuse will not be replaced and the warranty will be voided.

For online purchase warranty replacements: Frames are warrantied for 90 days of delivery. All online purchase warranty claims require a return authorization. A return authorization can be requested by emailing: onlinesales@specsforless.com, and stating what needs to be replaced. Once a return authorization number is given it must be printed on the outside of the package. Packages must be shipped via a trackable carrier at the customer’s expense. Warranty claims will be invoiced for return shipping and must be paid before they are shipped back to the customer.

Progressive Lenses:

In Store: Progressive lenses are covered under a 90 day non-adapt warranty starting on the date of you receive your order. If you decide during that period that progressive lenses are not helping your vision needs, we will exchange your lenses one time at no charge. You can exchange for a product of equal or lower cost. Note that any remaining credit will be issued to you as store credit. Refunds will not be given.
